Staff Profile

William Ortega has been teaching at Glenbard West since 1999 where his teaching duties currently include Music Theory AP, Percussion class, two sections of Orchestra, and assisting with the Marching Hilltoppers. Mr. Ortega was a Music Theory AP Rater for three years where he assisted in grading Music Theory AP exams for a week during the summer. Mr. Ortega has performed professionally as a clarinetist, double bassist, and operatic tenor. He currently plays violin in the Lincoln Quartet. He and his wife Colleen reside in Oak Park.
